Hey Faith Family!  Here is all of the pertinent information you'll need to know for the MS Walk tomorrow!  

Date: Saturday, May 3, 2025

Location: ASPIRIA (Former Sprint Campus)
6500 Sprint Parkway
Overland Park, KS 66251

Time: WE WILL MEET AT 9:00AM IN PARKING GARAGE #I (Like Igloo/Ice).

(You will need to park in the general parking garage #I (like Igloo/Ice).  Accessible parking is in parking lot H, if needed, but it will fill quickly, so get there as early as possible if you wish to park in that garage.

Site Opens: 8:30 am
Ceremony Starts: 9:45 am
Walk Kickoff: 10:00 am

 

Attire: Be sure to wear your "Support Squad" T-shirts to the walk.  For those who didn't pick them up on Sunday, I will have them with me.  Dress comfortably and wear comfortable walking shoes!

 

Event Schedule

8:30 AM – Participants can access the grounds and visit sponsors, enjoy a breakfast-themed snack, and commemorate the day with a photo.

9:45 AM – The official Ceremony begins and includes a new component for participants.

10:00 AM – Participants start walking on the site’s supported and accessible routes, featuring a Hydration Station with water.

11:00AM – Start Line and routes close.

12:00PM – Walk MS event is completed.

 

Registration and Information: Please visit the link at the bottom of the page to add yourself to the church's registration.  When it asks for a team, search for FDFWC.  You can also put zero for your goal/donation amount since we were giving directly to the church.  We will present one check for all monies given.  If you don't get a chance to register online, we can do it in person tomorrow.

 

Official Ceremony: The Walk MS Official Ceremony is held at the Main Stage and includes an opportunity for everyone to participate and see the Walk MS community come to life like never before.

 

Circles of Support sponsored by Option Care Health: Visit the Circles of Support Area and pick up your complimentary hand-held circle to participate during the Opening Ceremony.

• Orange Circles – For those living with MS
• Green Circles – For those who love or support a person who is living with MS, including remembrances
• Yellow Circles – For those who support the Society’s mission

 

Photo Area: Grab your orange swag and gather your team to commemorate the day at the Walk MS Photo Area.

All routes are accessible, and mobility devices are welcome.

 

Hydration Station sponsored by Hy-Vee: Positioned along the route and offering water.

 

Sponsor Area: Visit a variety of Walk MS sponsors and talk with company representatives to learn more about their helpful products and services.

 

Weather: Walk MS is a rain or shine event. In case of cancellation or delay due to severe weather.  I will make sure to send a message out to the group if anything changes.  Pay attention to the weather before you head out.  It's supposed to be slightly cool in the morning, so dress accordingly!
